Micheal Vick failed a drug test the other day. I'm stunned.
If he was in front of the late US District Judge George Howard here in the Eastern District of Arkansas-an elderly black man- his ass would be in the jail. If you did a dirty test while out on bond in Judge Howard's court you got locked up. A couple of prosecutor friends of mine even thought Judge Howard was a tad draconian.
So far so good for Mikey the dog punisher. He is just confined to quarters.
But he is not helping himself come time for the sentencing hearing. Why should anybody be surprised?
