My political analyst daughter opines that Gustav is God's wrath on the Republicans, thereby knocking out the glitz of their convention, esp. the beauty-queen, gun-toting "soccer mom" VP nominee with "PTA leadership experience," one Rep senator seriously noted this a.m.
I pointed out to Lauren that this cannot be, or God in His wisdom would surely send Gustav to Minnesota, not the ravaged Gulf Coast.
Mighty thoughtful of the Bush/Cheney wing to skip the convention to lead the charge when Gustav attacks.
